Find What Others Miss
Community cycling tours through Ghana’s hidden corners. History, culture, and stories on two wheels.
A treasure hunt on two wheels
Pilolo is a traditional Ghanaian children’s game—a treasure hunt where kids race to find hidden prizes. That spirit of discovery is what we’re about.
Ghana has a pulse. You just have to be close enough to feel it. That’s why we ride—through the markets, past the monuments, into the neighbourhoods that don’t make it onto most people’s itinerary.
We’re inspired by that childlike excitement to discover pleasant surprises. It’s what drives everything we do. And it’s why people who join us never see Ghana the same way again.
Discovery, not sightseeing
We keep it intentional. Small groups, curated routes, and guides who know these streets the way only locals can. Every ride pulls you into something real. The people, the pace, the culture that makes each corner of Ghana unmistakably itself.
Think of it as a deep dive, not a drive-by. We visit cultural and creative spaces, stop where the stories live, and introduce you to the people behind them. Led by passionate local storytellers, every ride uncovers the kind of moments you won’t find in any guidebook.
More Than a Tour
Our Mission
We believe the best way to know a place is on two wheels, with good people, and a curious mind. We facilitate genuine encounters between visitors and residents, support local enterprises, and promote appreciation for Ghana's rich cultural heritage.
Community First
Small-group experiences form the foundation of our approach, ensuring personalised attention and meaningful cultural exchange. Each tour is designed to challenge preconceptions, inspire curiosity, and foster deeper understanding of West Africa's urban landscapes.
Sustainable by Design
By choosing bicycles as our primary mode of exploration, we contribute to sustainable urban mobility while minimising environmental impact. We're committed to responsible tourism practices that benefit local communities.

About Us
Pilolo Tours started because a handful of us decided the real Ghana doesn’t live in tour buses. It lives in the streets, the corners, the conversations you weren’t expecting. So we ride.
As pioneers in sustainable urban tourism, we recognise that cities are living museums where centuries of history intersect with contemporary Ghanaian life. Our curated routes navigate this intersection, revealing architectural heritage, cultural landmarks, and the vibrant communities that give each destination its distinctive character.
Our professional guides possess deep knowledge of local history, architecture, and urban culture, providing insightful commentary that enriches every journey. They don’t just lead rides—they open doors to conversations, introductions, and experiences you’d never find in a guidebook.
We keep our groups small intentionally. It’s how we ensure every rider gets personalised attention, every stop feels unhurried, and every interaction with local residents remains genuine.
